Piney citric bittering deepened by ascending juniper bite over polite caramel malting and resinous minerality. After initial blunt bitterness recedes, West Coast IPA becomes too stylistically tame for hazing hopheads (yet efficient as crossover fodder for lighter pale ale thirsts).
