Though made in the States, this minty farmhouse ale (with its fluffy eggshell head, cloudy amber hue, flowery spiced hop fragrance and white wine appeal) definitely succeeds as first-rate Belgian-derived knockoff. Alkaline alcohol haze, yellow grape esters, and earthen mustiness conveniently hide behind sweet coriander-allspice melange and lemony orange rind tartness while mild peppercorn jab adds complexity to voluptuously creamy effervescence.
