SMITHWICK’S IRISH ALE
Rating: 3

Tags:

Heavily advertised Guinness-Bass amber ale alternate maintains frisky tan head, burnished copper hue, and chewy whiskey malt souring placated by toast-y barley sweetness. Dry floral hop bitterness picks up peat-hay-cocoa snip and herbal tea hint but medicinal ethanol surge at mannered caramelized apple finish is debatable.
