Conventional clear golden medium body stays mildly hop-embittered and nearly unassuming, as corn sugared cereal oats gently carry brittle Seltzer flow forward. Phenol metallic nature hinders chaffed wheat dryness, grapefruit sourness, herbal peppering, and vegetal reminder.

Much better on tap, where barley sweetness and fruity malt residue shine through. In the bottle, murky grains and musty malts are not fully integrated, becoming tinny lightweight dreck.

Considering Asian auspices, extremely flavorful and surprisingly fruity. Goes down smooth with softly carbonated sweet water flow. Roasted barleymalts engage orange-red fruiting to relaxing rice finish. Serve with Chinese food (if you could still find it).

Distinct musk-like hop-grained aromatics and crisp-watered bread-like yeast mouthfeel could be mistaken for Heineken (Holland’s better brand) in a heartbeat. But heavy carbolic fizz and soapy finish become obtrusive obstacles, narrowing its appeal. Canned version gets metallic.

Soured butter malt slickness dulls thin barley strand and bland soapy finish. Closer to dank grainy Eastern Euro than crisp rice-caked Asian.

Effective traditional Euro pils retains economical orange peel tang, floral-dried wheat husk, and grassy leathering. Light hop spicing trails seltzer-watered fizz.

Fair clear-bottled, thin-bodied, white-headed Canadian pilsner brings faint smoked wood chip reminder to unassuming peppery hop frock, buttery Scotch-toasted malt schmaltz, and insufficient yellow-fruited quince-gourd spell. Incomplete.

Sweet grainy malts soften phenol-spiced grassy-hopped bittering of soapy pale pilsner. Clean, refreshing finish picks up minor diacetyl pungency. Fine for mainstream lunkheads consuming Budweiser.

Thin natural flavored malt beverage spritzer introduced ’08 comes in clear bottle. Though a tad arid and impossibly dry-bodied, its tart sun-kissed grapefruit-tangerine sweetness stays on the nose, informing washed-out Seltzer-fizzed candied citrus theme. Orange Krush soda with vanilla ice cream’s a better bet.

Steadfast sugar malt drift harbors cotton-candied jellybean nicety for green-canned moderate-bodied pils. But minimal grain backbone slides precociously.

Palest yellow-bellied Bahamian with lemony grapefruit aroma lines limed pineapple tang across balmy corn-sugared toasted barley restraint to zippy agave quip. Plain, watery summer treat reasonably steadfast for such a light-bodied beer.

Fizzy-watered sweet-scented golden pilsner maintains grain-hopped lemon-dropped simplicity. More class and character than mediocre competition. Probably not on market as of 2006.
