Despite surprising absence of ‘wintry’ spicing and lack of rich ‘brown’ ale depth, this “perfectly fruited” 2007 ale goes down like maple-sugared Cherry Coke. Syrupy raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry sweetness embraces red-black cherry salience as caramelized molasses malts thicken soda flow. Dry tobacco, hazelnut, and pecan scurry through twiggy wood bottom.

Dull musty-fruited ’06 ‘Unfiltered Offering’ with lazy hazy amber translucence retains soapy raspberry sourness that never takes hold. Parched cranberry-grapefruit pucker and green apple tartness linger faintly above frail white breaded wheat-grass base. Dismal carbolic hop fizz jeopardizes latent blanched rosé illusion. ’12 re-tasting: washed-out Seltzer fizz immensely disrupted orange-dried raspberry theme.

Consumed at nearby Indian’s Peak after four-wheeling Colorado switchback trails, this fair hazy golden medium-bodied fluff lacks expedient raspberry rasp, sturdy cracked wheat spine, and proper carbolic hop bittering. Perfumed raspberry extract sweetness too washed out.

Tart stone fruit aroma and dry-grained assertiveness mired by ripened bittersweet raspberry mustiness and astringent cranberry subsidy. Pungent barleymalts lie flat in the distance below cracked wheat slab. Brewery defunct: 2001.
