Sugared mocha malts perk up steadfast amber. Mildly creamy laid-back casualness is its own reward, as maple-sapped vanilla and butterscotch illusions sweeten grainy backdrop. A true lightweight champ.

Dark amber glow befits dry-bodied English-styled ale. Bright apricot-tangerine tang, tannic grape esters, slim quince glint, and lemon meringue souring provide sufficient fruiting to ascending pumpernickel-rye thrust. Toasted wheat spine and slim roasted nuttiness hide herb-spiced fig-date lament.

Light aromatic malts, fuzzy carbolic hops, and sweet water base anchored by fine honeyed biscuit spine for extremely smooth moderately dry russet-hued treat. Brewery defunct: 2002.

Rustic 1908 Brattleboro firehouse displayed on label of rich coppery amber celebrates neighboring station. Expressive pine needled spruce setting initially heightens sharp hop toasting and nutty bitterness countering sweet malt serenade. Medicinal alcohol luster hammers home charcoal-black tar influence at red-fruited finish; bottom yeast sediment adds mild viscosity.

Delicately well-balanced rust-orange-hued Martha’s Vineyard brew integrates honeyed caramel malts with floral apple-peach-cherry fruiting and minimal lemony hop-spiced bittering. Barley biscuit-y bottom adds sweet assurance to maple sugared backdrop, though some phenol acridity wanders in.

Toasted barley-oat nose unusual for cherry-hued red ale, as is maple-sapped pine-nut theme lingering thickly on red apple-bordered fruited plane. Though tamped-down hops enhance orange peel bitterness, impenetrable caramelized quince finish upsets initial promise.

Concealed 8% alcohol flow appeases buttery sweet malt warmth, variant burnt wood tones, and billowy hop quilt. Sympathetic smoked barley finish hides floral-dried apple-peach nuances.
