Wintry pine-scented lager lacks ‘serious’ Vienna-style pale malt schtick. Instead, mired by dank barleymalt sweetness, choppy chocolate waif, and incomplete corn sugar finish masking any redeeming apricot or tangerine undertones.

Cascading tan bubbles reach top of golden ‘malt liquor’ as fuzzy hop-roasted opening softens to pale malt frisk, sustaining spicy nose and bitter lemon peel twist to counter sugary caramel suggestion.

Translucent copper lager disappoints as cracked wheat pettiness, caramel malt weariness, and toasted barley elusiveness hit by ascending acidity at mellow grassy hop finish, leveling off effectiveness.

Bland caramelized amber differs from most agave-enhanced Mexican brews. Pleasant hop fizz persists, but processed grain sweetness cheapens dry tinny finish. Supposed full-bodied Vienna-style lager is too unsophisticated and inconsequential. ’10 re-tasting: tawny-hued Ambar (a.k.a. Amber) gained richer honey-malted barley-roasted hop-toasted caramel nougat center and slightest pecan-walnut tinge. Minor Scotch notch not unlike Michelob Premium Lager.

Doughy frontage receives staid malt sweetness as off-dry earthen graining, recessive rye-wheat conflux, and fresh hay leathering pick up orange-oiled fruitiness dulled by astringent husked corn missive.

Respectable moderate-bodied amber-yellowed Vienna lager hides dainty mocha malt whir beneath hop-embittered barley-cracked wheat husk. Watery flow softens richer-than-expected grain finish that gently lingers.

Mildly bitter-grained spice-hopped amber lager places toasted barley-oats sweetness atop bland Vienna malting and off dry orange astringency. Indifferent finish softens too quickly.

Less charismatic than Unibroue’s better ales, coppery Euro-styled Vienna lager conveys dry whiskey malt slither to toasted honey wheat astringency. Sedate orange zest gets lost amongst vigorous carbonation.

Decent amber-coppered lager with burnt wood tones, smoked molasses malts, and sweet barley-rye continuance solicits spice-hopped elegance. Second passing finds curacao orange illusion losing luster by predictable cereal-grained finish.

Dull sweet mocha aroma, carbolic hop romp, roasted barley flow, and creamy malt texture ultimately too presumptuous attempting to capture true Viennese lager. Lacks body and complexion to boot. Brewery defunct: 2003.

Slick grain-toasted pale lager receives creamy caramel surge, coarse hop spicing, and cedar-burnt snip to prop up diacetyl citric tang. Mild metallic acidity and vegetal tinge disrupt flow.
