Vibrant artisan white ale retains sparkling wine effervescence and juniper-sniped tangerine-grapefruit souring. Lilting floral urging adds depth to slender currant bittering.

Honeyed butterscotch frontage loses some distinction by dry bitter finish, but chocolate-toffee malts and collateral tangerine-peach-apple mediation deepen earthy bottom of rust orange-hued medium body. No longer brewed as of 2006.

Cascading brownish tan bubbles provide nice visual accessory while pouring frothy-headed ruby-maroon Schwarzbier. Way too slick on the blanched backend (and a tad phenol besides) to recommend to serious dark lager admirers. Yet chalky nuttiness, black chocolate coarseness, fig-licorice twinge and evasive blackened wood bitterness nearly make up for poor cardboard finish.
