Parched cranberry-grapefruit pucker and green apple tartness linger faintly above frail white breaded wheat-grass base. Dismal carbolic hop fizz jeopardizes latent blanched rosé illusion. ’12 re-tasting: washed-out Seltzer fizz immensely disrupted orange-dried raspberry theme.

Consumed at nearby Indian’s Peak after four-wheeling Colorado switchback trails, this fair hazy golden medium-bodied fluff lacks expedient raspberry rasp, sturdy cracked wheat spine, and proper carbolic hop bittering. Perfumed raspberry extract sweetness too washed out.

Tart stone fruit aroma and dry-grained assertiveness mired by ripened bittersweet raspberry mustiness and astringent cranberry subsidy. Pungent barleymalts lie flat in the distance below cracked wheat slab. Brewery defunct: 2001.

A ‘berry’ good and fully carbonated creamy-textured ale. Cracked wheat backbone refracts descending raspberry tang to light, unassuming, fruited malt finish. Brewery defunct: 1999.

Chartreuse-mauve Belgian-style ale with white yeast sediment finds tart raspberry pulp oeuvre souring to tannic white grape dryness redolent of bitterer Belgian ales. Brewery defunct: 2010.

Pungent raspberry-candied tartness and sugary malt frosting provoke moderately embittered blueberry-cranberry-cherry sourness of light-bodied rosy-hued summer slacker. Dubious grass-hay suggestion thins out prickly hop infusion, cracked wheat backbone, and subversive fermented raspberry finish. Musty malts turn acidic, sabotaging sparse fruity sourness.

Somewhat unique pinkish wheat ale with dank raspberry essence and effervescent aromatic spices pervading dry floral cranberry-apple tartness. A great crossover ale suited to non-traditional beer drinkers. Brewery defunct: 2001.

Though lacking true grit and too slight to take advantage of ripe fruit aroma and abundant raspberry infusion, at least middling wheat ale never becomes cloy. Light-hearted after dinner dreck serious drinkers will slag off as slick.

Dull sweet-tart raspberry theme gets delicately fizz-hopped, but dry-bodied fruit ale needs deeper fruit penetration, stronger wheat wafer resolve, and less soapy oxidized finish. In ’04, Pugsley Brewing (Portland, Maine) drafted similar version with honey-dripped lemony snicker detected.

Cloudy and creamy like Main Street Brown Ale, though rust-hued with tart raspberry distinction, puckered green apple parch, and floral honeysuckle whim. Fizzy wheat base lacks firmness, but luckily bittersweet raspberry puree finish doesn’t quit so easily.

Bone dry magenta-headed purplish red-bodied fruit ale spreads black raspberry soda-like thrust atop red wine spritz to effervescent Seltzer finish. Sharp oaken hops coarsen impending mouth puckered lemony sourness.

Losing none of its tart raspberry luster in bottled version, this medium-bodied amber-hued fruit beer picks up lemony cranberry sourness and wavered floral tinge above thin wheat base.
