Swampy sour astringency overwhelms dreaded corn-y malt liquor-like acridity, devouring sugared oats of weary hop-fizzed moderation.

KOHINOOR INDIAN PREMIUM LAGER
Sugary malt-sweetened waft amplifies expected burnt wood chip spicing, toning down prematurely as wheat-chaffed husked grain dryness seeps through sharp black-peppered earthiness to light corn sugared finish, leaving trails of white lace along glass sides.
KOBORS WHEAT ALE
Original recipe hand-brewed golden-hued German wheat ale with mineral-grained dry wheat frontage and candied yeast sweetness maintains soft water texture for totally unobtrusive and indistinct ale only for amateurs. Nearby Cooperstown Brewery started brewing this by 2002, but by ’04 Kobors was retired.
KOBORS SPECIAL ALE
KOBORS BROWN ALE
KMICIC PILSNER
Frivolous bubbly white-headed pale-bodied pilsner imbued by dank grain minerality and hard water flow. Threadbare barley-hop finish can’t recoup early losses. Website www.beerme.com reports brewery closed 2005.
KLASTER TRADITIONAL CZECH LAGER
KLASTER DARK LAGER
Proud Indian reddish sienna hue bestows lactose-aided lager with virtuous burnt caramel signature, malt whiskey contour, and sugary butterscotch-vanilla-chocolate sweetness. Lilting almond nougat center reaffirms Tootsie Roll illusion. Minor chestnut-pecan notes imbue thorough finish of dessert-like session beer.
KISZ CLASSIC DARK LAGER
Frothy-headed cola-hued medium-bodied lager with chalky cocoa dryness and syrupy mocha malting builds Scotch-hopped brown ale-like essence. Slight traces of burnt wood detected amongst relaxing creamy persistence. Retains mainstream appeal while avoiding soapy tinning miring many less assertive Eastern European brews.
KIRIN LAGER
KIRIN ICHIBAN SPECIAL PREMIUM RESERVE
Mild golden-bronzed dry lager with wheat-toasted corn ricing culls glistening crystal malt sweetness to counter earthen rusticity. Rice milked doughiness, dainty apple-pear dollop and recessive chestnut snip pick up slight hop spicing at the midst, but ‘100% malt’ beer, while displaying many delicate aspects, loses inertia by soapy citric finish.
