CAMERON’S STRONGARM RUBY RED ALE
Elegant burgundy-cleared chocolate-wafted English pale ale provides dry Scotch malt frontage with roasted hop gust and tangy citric-cherry allure to cracked wheat bottom. Meager caramel apple stint and cocoa-tea-tobacco hints lost in soured prune midst. By finish, watered down Scotch blotch brought down a notch.
CAMERON’S LONG LEG ENGLISH FUGGLES HOP ALE
Delicate barley-hopped roasting, sugary malt zip, and clean mineral water flow provide ballast for efficient pearly-headed pale-toned dry body. Floral hop continuance, yellow fruited souring, and minor quince-pear-peach coquetry offer contrast but traditional golden ale gets phenol and lacks staying power.
CAMERON’S CHRISTMAS ALE
Indifferent traditional winter warmer regrettably lacks expectant seasonal spicing and sugared malt depth. Instead, spotty brown-sugared butterscotch dearth, withered dark fruit dankness, dour vegtal twinge, and barren nutmeg pinch repel scant mildewed herbal hop pop.
CAMERON’S CHALLENGE ALE
Simple, plain, auburn-cleared ale lacks sufficient bruised orange tang and mocha malt sweetness. Instead, herbal-hopped earthen peat resin, crisp tobacco-dried nuttiness, and lazy raisin-date-fig slumber saturate citric malfunction.
CALLAO PILSNER
From Peru’s main port comes this grainy corn-sugared hop-infested light-bodied mainstream pilsner. Only moderately engaging in its watery simplicity.
CALEDONIAN GOLDEN PROMISE ORGANIC ALE
Lively carbonation absorbs sour mocha malting and yeast-sweetened oats-smoked barley-cracked resonation by firm mineral grain finish of moderately bitter bronze-clouded golden ale. Possible clove or mint notes lost in cocoa recess.
CALEDONIAN FLYING SCOTSMAN RUBY ALE
Despite promising ruby red handle, indistinct blandness overwhelms. Mild honeyed malt creaminess, pleasant cherry pop zest, and covert grain trinket fortify medicinal spell. But this seems closer to dank brown ale than a refined red. Too light, foamy, watery, and unassuming for its class.
CALEDONIAN 80/- PUB DRAUGHT ALE
Silky smooth copper-toned eggshell-headed “80 shilling” nitro-injected bottled draught offers visually exciting sheets of cascading froth and boasts soothing peat-smoked whiskey-rye setting. Tender nuttiness, herbal tea jot, and beautiful water texture enhance buttery barleymalt aridity.
CALEDONIAN EDINBURGH SCOTCH ALE
Stalwart Scotch essence reigns above fleshy-headed dark amber ale. Sinewy caramel malting prompts barley biscuit sweetness countering crisp hop bitterness before passive dry maize finish diminishes boozy harshness.
CALEDONIAN DOUBLE DARK ALE
Earthen reddish-hued dark ale with moderate raisin-date tartness and superb hop-spiced barley-roasted oats-dried caramel malting defers stylistic mocha expectancy. Mellow, relaxing, and refined without becoming too sweet or overbearingly strong.
CALDERA PALE ALE
Canned golden-hued medium body with brisk bittersweet grapefruit entry given an increasingly mouth-prickling sunny lemon tang. Pleasant floral-piney hops provide backdrop and thin white-breaded reminder befits clean watery texture.
