Fine tart-fruited malt-stricken 9% alcohol Victorian pale ale with heavy tea-like particles coating glass bottom and floating through opulent body. Sweet buttery yeast serenity receives uncommon honeysuckle floral twist underscoring vibrant apricot brandy swagger conquering sour citrus finish.

GEORGE GALE CHRISTMAS ALE
Slightly turbid, rust-browned, non-spiced holiday ale regaled by corky single malt Scotch oeuvre, leathery peat-smoked earthiness, dehydrated orange tartness and vinegary white wine tannins. Dense prune dryness and fruited hop tang score mid-palate, but complacent finish dulled by diminished chocolate malt souring and dreary cocoa-chalked bitterness.
GENOVA CERVEZA
Found no info ’bout dull lightweight Paraguayan pilsner (except Brooklyn’s Northeast Beverages were importers). Crystal clean mountain water picks up sweet cocoa malting and doughy reminder, but phenol hop acridity and soapy Eastern Euro finish disrupt minor grapefruit splurge.

GEARY’S SUMMER ALE
Sharp grassy hop bite, cracked wheat subtlety, and bittersweet citrus ebb provide duskier pungency than most summery Kolsch brews. But heavy carbonation corrupts orange blossom, apricot, and grapefruit illusions for fatigued diacetyl finish, sabotaging fruited malt appeal, biscuit-y caramel hint, and herbal nip.
GEARY’S PALE ALE
Frothy amber-hazed ale with conspicuous sugary malts, sharp hops, and acrid alcohol pungency goes down easy. Watery texture has crisp frisk of Canadian ales, but squandered grains meander and weak caramel finish lacks creaminess. ’09 re-tasting: dark spice-hopped mildness, dry orange tartness and slight grapefruit bittering overcome cider-soured acidity.
GEARY’S LONDON STYLE PORTER
Musty earthen mossing of frothily cascading English porter secures dry coffee roast, black chocolate bittering and sharp hop-charred nutty residue. Yet watery texture provides silken crisping against moderated tar-like molasses bittering. Sticky, strong, but not distinct… and hardly London style (unless they mean London, Ontario).
