Simple barley hopped amber gains wheat biscuit and burnt caramel sweetness as carbonation subsides, but acrid oxidation stumps moderate cereal grain roast.

BERMUDA’S METRO OLD FASHIONED STONE GINGER BEER
BIEROPHOLIE CALUMET DOUBLE PORTER
(BIG ROCK) MAGPIE ALE BREWED WITH RYE
Fine amber-toned dry rye brew flaunts beautiful honeyed yeast aroma, sweet butterscotch-caramel malt entry, and subtle citric frisk countering pungent hop-roasted bitterness. Maple-sapped mocha-soaked barley-wheat base sweetens dry rye breading. Pleasant Canadian brew similar in style to St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout and unlike most typical water-based Canucks.
BITBURGER PREMIUM PILSENER
(BLAUGIES) LA MONEUSE SAISON
An airtight package of extremes, peculiar rust-hued Belgian farmhouse ale brings musty fruit dankness to pungent mushroom-y earthiness with no odd offensiveness. As flooded basement waft subsides, sour chamomile tea complements honeyed banana sweetness and corky peach-apricot-grape esters for tartly rewarding obscurity.
BLUE HEN BLACK & TAN
Strong fruity essence not often associated with Black & Tans. For better or worse, bitter chocolate notes overwhelmed by grainy lager sharpness. Distracting over-carbonation and sour mocha finish are letdowns, but a burst of sweetness coats the aftertaste. As with many black and tans, it loses its natural essence since it’s difficult to create in the bottle and easier to blend on tap when mixed at the time of serving.

BOGEMIA PALE LAGER
BOULDER AMBER ALE
BOULEVARD PALE ALE
(BRASSERIE DES LEGENDES) NOEL DES GEANTS
Boozy nickel-hazed X-mas ale brewed in medieval Irchonwelz castle retains spotted yeast sediment, creamy caramel malt viscosity, and spicy herbal tinge. Dank Belgian yeast mustiness soaks up bruised orange frontage, wintry allspice-cinnamon-clove seasoning, faint vanilla variance, and teensy fennel dividend as heady alcohol warmth rises.
