(BERT) GRANT’S SCOTTISH ALE
Spice-hopped wheat chaff essence of tangy-fruited medium body levels off to pervasive nutty bitterness juxtaposing candied caramel sweetness. Toasted malts inform spruce finish as smoky grain-peat influence swells. Brewery defunct: 2007.
BIG HOLE HEADSTRONG PALE ALE
Unusual dried-out orange tartness and puckering grapefruit peel sourness make for a strange brew. Bland malt rigidity and mouth puckering sour-fruited divergence atypical for pale ale.
BISON ORGANIC BELGIAN ALE
Arid champagne-tingled light-bodied tripel drags sour lemon-candied acidity through grassy-hopped coriander encumbrance. Perfumed herbal spicing, whimsical spearmint-menthol sass, unripe apple tartness, and tertiary white grape-apricot-peach sunset falter.
BLACK TOAD DARK ALE
Soft-tongued cola-hued porter-styled dark ale layers sweet chocolate malts atop almond-hazelnut-chestnut serenity and pipe tobacco hint. Hop-toasted dried fruits caress lucid barleymalt-roasted midst.

BLUE POINT BLUEBERRY ALE
Exacting blueberry muffin theme seeps through red grape nicety, raspberry tartness, and honey-licked cereal-grained linger of fruity dark golden ale. Soft-toned hop fizzing advances soapy metallic whim to no ill effect. Sadly, 2011 tapped version lowered rating. Sulfuric acidity and metallic tinniness seeped into milder bittersweet blueberry pie whir, flattened honeyed wheat backbone and briskly carbolic lemon-licked spritz.
BOAKS MONSTER MASH IMPERIAL STOUT
Excellent Russian Imperial contract brewed by High Point Brewery (makers of fine Ramstein wheat beers) holds its own against heavy competition. Persistent dried-fruited roasted chocolate malts gain brown-sugared maple molasses sweetness that envelops sticky anise, chocolate liqueur, chicory coffee, vanilla bean and clove illusions. Minor burnt oak dryness evens out thick-bodied ebony-hued stout. Brewery defunct: 2016.
BOREALE NOIRE STOUT
Thin brown-bodied English-styled stout retains coarsely dry moderation, as over-carbonation buries coffee-burnt dark chocolate sourness alongside roasted hop-grained nuttiness. Surging plum-grape pucker accents astringent maple finish, but richness lacks.
BOULDER PORTER
Coffee grain sourness inundates oily dry-bodied porter, fading to frugal hop-fizzed tedium lowering potential of indifferent roasted barley finish.
BRASAL HOPPS BRAU
Supposed German-styled lager corrupts Seltzer-watered lightness with sagging chocolate malt lag. Musty barley-toasted mocha sweetness can’t overcome bland, indistinct finish.
BRECKENRIDGE PANDORA’S BOCK
Smooth handcrafted lager retains radiant raisin-esque bock charm as maple-sugared almond-macadamia nuttiness inundates sweet chocolate malting. Creamy mocha finish receives orange-soured cognac kick.
