Easygoing pink-glowed ‘sour wheat’ leaves subtle salted raspberry tartness upon mild yogurt-milked oaken vanilla tannins and rosé, white zinfandel and pink blush wining as well as distant grapefruit-cranberry souring for spritzy fruited seltzer-like Berliner Weiss.
Sunshiny orange-peeled grapefruit vibrancy enhanced by mild piney hop resin and subtle floral-spiced alacrity of easygoing NEIPA. Spritzy lemon zesting tingles tertiary pineapple-peach-tangerine tang.
On tap at Growler & Gill, crisply clean moderation allows peppery herbal spicing to perk up mild lemon tingle and dry maize respite over crusty buttered bread spine in slightly engaging manner.
Tropical citrus fruiting graces wood-dried grassy hop resin and wispy black tea-like musk above caramel-roasted amber graining of pleasingly midstream flagship offering. Juicy grapefruit rind bittering contrasts sweet orange peel tang for hop-forward IPA-derived ale.
On tap at Poor Henry’s, juicily citric ‘hop bomb’ explodes in your mouth with sharp lemony grapefruit tang gaining dainty orange-peeled mango, pineapple, peach, guava and cantaloupe tropicalia to counter dankly resinous hop oiling. On tap at Ambulance, honeyed fruit spicing reached herbal piney hop dankness as even-keeled tropical fruiting reigned.
On tap at Ambulance, smoothly dry hop-centric IPA loads embittered orange rind, grapefruit and pineapple juicing alongside resinous pine tones to contrast less intense sugared pale malting. ‘Pure and simple’ moderate-medium body for the masses.
Interestingly offbeat Breakfast Stout combines smoky Vermont maple syrup with bittersweet black coffee-chocolate murk, honeyed molasses undertones and sour toffee wisp above recessive hop char, but needs creamier thickness for better resonance. May need better balance of intangible adjuncts.
