Despite ‘black’ designation, pale golden lager retains heady malt liquor salience. Smoked whiskey prelude fades to sticky cream corn sweetness with biscuit-y wheat waver. Possible liqueur wisp turns soapy by astringent finish, where 7% alcohol drear sullies glutinous gluten goo.
KINSALE IRISH LAGER
Crisp water centers sharp grain bitterness, pale malt plainness, and sourdough follow-up for delicately nonchalant sunny yellow lager. Soapy finish succumbs to metallic raunchiness.
KING’S PONTIAC PORTER
Inefficient mahogany-hued Baltic-like porter with dry nutty mocha disposition stays astringent as cheap espresso, burnt coffee, and cocoa bean illusions belie earthen hop char. Black chocolate bittering, latent cola nut surge, and burnt wood sensation fail to variegate backend, though further sips reveal frothy lactose creaminess.
KING’S PALE ALE
Hazy coppery amber medium body retains muted citrus bitterness, mild hop spicing, and toasted barley biscuit respite, but oxidized finish diminishes impact.
KING’S MOCHA JAVA STOUT

Frothily viscous penny-coppered ale lacks body and complexity, but caramel malt sweetness, perfume-y floral accents, and frisky seltzer-like carbonation will please softer palates just fine. Tamped down hops reveal diluted grapefruit rind-orange peel bitterness.
KING’S CROWN BROWN ALE
Flat deep burgundy English-styled brown ale spreads yummy chocolate-y hazelnut sweetness over almond-walnut subsidy and minor dried fruiting, but needs thicker malt depth.
KING’S CHERRY ALE
Must quaff nickel-hued pale ale at room temperature after billowy head subsides or risk acrid Seltzer fizz overpowering shrewd fruity core and ester-y citric bittering. Red cherry essence too thin for tart lambic comparison and sterile grain malting lacks sufficient bulk, but latent green apple, yellow grape and white peach illusions fill out baked wheat bread bed nicely before dusky cherry souring prods prolonged aftertaste.
