BERT GRANT’S PERFECT PORTER
Don’t let dry coffee-embittered black chocolate opening, charcoal-stained lactose thickness, midnight black hue and clustered Brussels lace of English-styled porter scare away lighter tastes. Subsequent caramel-burnt maple-molasses sweetness underlays chewy chocolate delight, evoking creamy milkshake or Black Forest cake dessert-like affability. Toasted barley-hops inform endless mocha finish. Seasoned milk stout fanatics as well as lagerheads will be pleased. Brewery defunct: 2007.
BIG HOLE WISDOM CREAM ALE
Aromatic green apple tartness and mouth-puckering citric souring provide eye-squinting bitterness, leading to heartburn-inducing vinous acidity. Intrusive carbolic fluff overwhelms miniscule butterscotch malt creaminess. Lacking necessary cereal-grained sweetness to counter dismal one-dimensional yellow-fruited sourness. Too similar to Big Hole’s lackluster Pale Ale.
BISON CHOCOLATE STOUT
Brewed with Dutch cocoa and retaining lactic brown-sugared chocolate fudging, medium-bodied stout also reveals secondary raw molasses, charred walnut, and burnt cedar illusions. On the horizon, chicory-doused black coffee influence darkens roasted hop bittering. But flawed charcoal scorch haunts oily mocha finish.
(BLACK SHEEP) RIGGWELTER YORKSHIRE ALE
Dark chocolate waft, green apple quickness, and tannic red grape tartness rise above date-fig conflux bordering earthy peat resin. Burnt hop dryness and chaffed wheat restraint smear otherwise tinny sour malt finish of frothy flesh-tone laced dark amber.
BLUEGRASS AMERICAN PALE ALE
Fine sunset orange ale offers cracked wheat, doughy biscuit, and sweet tobacco triage to deepening raw honey bittering. Lingering spruce hop finish receives floral grapefruit-lemon twang and dried tobacco nuance.
BLUE MOUNTAIN CLASSIC LAGER
Bland moderate-bodied pale lager diffuses pleasant grain toasting with bittersweet lemony orange tang. Clay hops induce phenolic enzyme-like acidity, dragging down leftover sugared malt efficacy.
BLUETONGUE TRADITIONAL PILSENER
Robust soft-watered Czech-styled Aussie dry body may be richer than respected Brooklyn Pilsner and compares most favorably to first-rate Eastern Euro competition. Opulent earthen grained bittering, doughy glutinous malt sweetness, corn-husked straw grass reminder, and sneaky applejack-grapefruit snip deep-six any negative solvent-like oxidation. Wavered citric-floral Saaz hopped sharpness, white peppered spicing, and green tea spree randomly tingle tongue.

Muffled pale malt indifference, bitter raw honey remnant, and sour lemon murk lack distinction.
BOULDER PLANET PORTER
Velvety garnet haze imbues dry mocha porter given warm candied maple waft to counter roasted coffee souring. But dulled citric murk and meager black chocolate sendoff summon deficient astringency.
BRASAL BOCK DARK LAGER
Delicious all-consuming coffee-hazelnut essence enamors nose, mouth, and gullet. Registered in U.S. as malt liquor due to feverish 7.8 % alcohol content, sweet Canadian bock coats the throat with uncommon maple-molasses richness.
BRECKENRIDGE PALE ALE
Ill-defined coppery pearl-headed English-styled pale ale lacks assertive resolve though roasted barley, buttery malts, and bitter-spiced floral hops compare favorably to Breckenridge’s similarly toasted Summerbright Ale. Watery finish dissolves sharp peach-grapefruit-tangerine array and wheat bread subtlety.
