BALCONES FAULT PALE MALT
Serene butterscotch-chocolate malting fades quickly to soapy tobacco-tea-mushroom scourge, dragging dry fruited esters to copper ale-like anonymity by dull finish. Brewery defunct: 2007.
BALTIKA LAGER (#2)
Off-putting skunked cabbage waft camouflages analogous dead grass odor of dreary pale-cleared pearly-headed dry-bodied lightweight. Sweet creamed corn entry demeaned by soapy lemon-fizzed cereal-oats dankness to thin butterscotch finish, turning disturbingly metallic.
BAR HARBOR REAL ALE
Light-bodied chestnut-hued brown ale brings candied sugar malt waft to toasted barley efficiency, nutty chocolate fizz, and raisin-date sweetness juxtaposing roasted coffee signature. Tamped down hop dryness secures earthy wheat backbone but phenol astringency shrivels mocha finish.

Dry earthen wood tone and roasted hop bittering juxtapose discrete mocha malt sweetness of tan-headed chestnut-hued medium-bodied ale. But tinny sour finish and overall astringent acridity preclude muted toffee nuttiness.
