Just whiffing this cloudy, rust-hued, yeast-sugared pale body will convince you it’s truly organic. Smooth mineral water flow mellows sedate piney floral moodscape overlaying roasted barley sweetness and cornstarch-like usurpation. Off-dry hop finish imparts fresh citric-berry fruitiness.
Murky fruit-scented bottle-conditioned amber-hazed Dutch ale knocks off a fruitful floral-hopped Belgian Abbey succinctly. Perfumed yeast sweetness matches silken butterscotch thrust while lemony curacao orange tartness and red apricot ripeness tingle coriander spicing. Nice alcohol buzz simmered by clean water smoothness.
Up-front spiced hop thrust and spry aromatic fruiting power bubbly-headed, Brussels lace-laden, copper-bronzed moderation. Creamy maple sappiness clings to grapefruit-peeled orange tartness and minor berry tinge. Mild wood-singed hop bittering caresses crisp cereal-grained citrus finish. Way lighter than hophead’s would hope, yet undeniably accessible.
Dry black coffee stiffness will addict strong beer fans equally enamored by the chewy chocolate malting and chalky mocha thicket sweetening sinewy maple resolve. Stanky sour malt stench, lime-parched clove mouthfeel, and oily hop flow settle into diffident corn-husked malt liquor palate of peculiar blonde. Barley-rice backdrop recedes to chaffed wheat finish lacking expected floral highlights.
Golden-hued moderation bogged down by distant fruit fragrance, unassuming mocha malt trepidation, and tepid burnt wood tones goes astray of traditional IPA values. Better head, fuller grain rim, and stronger alcohol content don’t make up for nebulous make-up.
