Juicy mango tang fades into the midst where mild guava tartness, limey grapefruit zesting and timid floral spicing receive piney hop bittering that lingers softly over oaty base for adequate, tempered IPA.
COASTAL BREW WORKS TROJAN SEAHORSE IPA
On tap at Paragon, ambitiously fruitful flagship NEIPA stays stylishly robust, but retains only slight vanilla creaming despite rich crystal pale malt base. Bright citrus zesting contrasts tartly yogurt-soured tropical fruiting with remarkable clarity. Sweet orange-peeled lemon meringue piquancy, sharp yellow grapefruit bittering and peachy mango tang lean towards a West Coast IPA while sourly salted guava, gooseberry and green grape illusions nod towards a New Zealand-hopped IPA. A heady delight!

Fulsome hazy golden glowed NEIPA collab with nearby Connecticut brewer, Tox, places subtle Citra-hopped orange peel sweetness, yellow grapefruit zesting and salted pineapple tang next to herbal Galaxy-hopped passionfruit-gooseberry souring in creamy oat milk-sugared setting. Lingered piney hop bittering zaps lactic yogurt-milked tropical fruited finish.
