Unassumingly splendid updated version of standard Extra Pale Ale given delicate Citra-hopped IPA fruiting for truly sessionable appeal. Soft-tongued lemony orange-grapefruit tang embeds hushed herbal hop astringency above bready barley-toasted pale malts as tertiary pineapple, peach and tangerine snips waver.
FLYING FISH TRADEWINDS TROPICAL WHEAT
Sessionably soft-toned tropical ale nudges salted passionfruit and guava tartness past bittersweet mango-pineapple piquancy, candied mandarin orange souring and strawberry rhubarb respite above muted white wheat base.
FLYING FISH SALT AND SEA SESSION SOUR ALE
Refreshingly clean salt-watered taffy tartness promoted by limey strawberry pucker. Mildly sour sea-salted lime briskness combines with strawberry spritz and less prominent agave-cologned herbage for White Claw hard seltzer appeal, but Graham Cracker wheat bottom’s outta place. On tap at Hoover’s Tavern April 2024, sea-salted lime zesting gained tart strawberry snag as Jolly Rancher Watermelon and candied tangerine illusions sneak thru mildly acidic summertime dry bodied sour.
MONTAUK PUMPKIN ALE
On tap at Growler & Gill, reserved pumpkin-spiced moderation spreads brown-sugared cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice sweetness across dried ginger insistence and mild perfumed hops above relegated Graham Cracker-honeyed wheat spine. Predictably staid and worthily conformist.
CAPTAIN LAWRENCE AUTUMN BLAZE PUMPKIN ALE
Brown-sugared pureed pumpkin pie spicing lets ginger-snapped cinnamon toasting gain prominence above earthen gourd-bound foliage. Fizzy orange peel spritz never precludes pumpkin-spiced sweetness.

AMERICAN SOLERA LORAL ROBERTS KOLSCH
On tap at Taphouse 15, smoothly dry moderation permits Loral-hopped floral herbage to delicately penetrate lemony quince and mandarin orange desiccation above saltine-crackered cereal graining. Serve to lighter palates.
ASHTON IDA WEISS
On tap at Tapastre, stylishly dryer hefeweiss offers lemony banana-clove expectancy to lightly smoked wheat malts and salted herbal hop sedation. A tad underwhelming.
RAMSTEIN RIVER WIT
On tap at River Of Beer, effervescent lemony orange tang provokes mild coriander spicing over cracked wheat spine in unassuming manner. Casual light-bodied wit for autumn 2020.
MARLOWE EAGER TO SHARE PALE ALE
On tap at Taphouse 15, vibrantly soft-tongued yellow-marbled moderation renders Citra-Mosaic-hopped citrus sunshine for salty herbal-spiced pale malt dryness. Subdued grapefruit-orange tang holds steady.
CITIZEN CIDER THE LAKE HOPPER
Off-center, non-traditional, Cascade-hopped cider lets pressed apple souring embellish vinous white wine esters, fizzy lemon-limed strawberry tartness, glittery champagne sparkle and pickled watermelon rind earthiness. Leaders of a dry-hopped cider craze?

KILLS BORO GIMME, GIMME PASSIONFRUIT GUAVA DESSERT SOUR
On tap at Draught Industries, lactose-aided wild ale promotes tart passionfruit-guava adjuncts and mild vanilla bean creaming for veritable “dessert sour.” Limey guava-passionfruit souring gains ancillary coconut-milked grapefruit, orange and mango tang to jazz up snazzy tropical fruiting.
OXBOW SAISON ROSE
Delicately vinous grape-skinned rosé resolve sways stainless-aged mixed culture farmhouse ale as ancillary pinot noir grape mustiness and pickled lime salting settle above musky compost soiling. At the puckered finish, green grape esters allow hard-candied cherry, strawberry and raspberry sourness as well as a wispy floral aspect to burgeon.
