October 8, 2025Beers A-ZCONCLAVE BREWING, new england ipajf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Kitchen & Beer Bar, smoothly dry-hopped NEIPA variant places waxy yellow grapefruit bittering next to navel orange tang, lemon meringue tartness and peachy mango snips as mild pine lacquering contrasts creamily oated wheat sugaring.

MAST LANDING / CIVIL SOCIETY STEAKHOUSE CHICKEN TENDERS NEIPA

October 8, 2025Beers A-ZMAST LANDING BREWING, new england ipajf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Kitchen & Beer Bar, lemony yellow grapefruit bittering affixes spritzy orange rind dryness over mild vanilla creamed oats, picking up salty guava-pineapple illusions, sweet berry snips and wafting floral tones.

OTHER HALF MISTER SOFTEE SPACE TWISTEE

October 8, 2025Beers A-ZOTHER HALF BREWING, vanilla stoutjf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Taphouse 15, soft serve chocolate-vanilla swirl undone by rich semi-sweet dark cocoa prod. Creamy Madagascar vanilla stead and milk-sugared coffee sweetness vie for position but oncoming dark-roast hop bittering seems misplaced.

OTHER HALF MISTER SOFTEE MILKSHAKE IPA

October 8, 2025Beers A-Zmilkshake india pale ale, OTHER HALFjf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Pompton Craft House, Mister Softee IPA variant utilizes Motueka, Nectaron and Citra cryo hops in lightly milk sugared tropical fruit setting. Subtle vanilla-daubed oats creaming serenaded by lemony grapefruit, navel orange, passionfruit, guava and passionfruit tropicalia. Somewhat tart but not nearly as sweetly ambrosial as richer milkshake suds.

OTHER HALF LOLLY CAKE

October 8, 2025Beers A-Znew england ipa, OTHER HALFjf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Pompton Craft House, zesty NEIPA utilizes Peacharine, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops to maintain dry tropical fruited inertia. Tart gooseberry, guava, passionfruit and lychee succulence given mild oats creaming as dank pine tones and rummy vodka spiriting sink in.

OTHER HALF BIG NECTARON VIBES DDH IPA

October 8, 2025Beers A-Zimperial india pale ale, OTHER HALF BREWINGjf1155@verizon.net

Dry New Zealand-derived Nectaron hops forward mild white grape, yellow grapefruit and Meyer lemon bittering to mild oated wheat base. But compost-wafted sour grape esters and obscure ‘peach soda, pineapple nectar and fruited candied’ illusions lose favor for wayward double dry-hopped IPA styling.

MESSOREM CANAL FATAL

October 8, 2025Beers A-ZMESSOREM, new england ipajf1155@verizon.net

On tap at Kitchen & Beer Bar, brisk Citra-hopped Canadian NEIPA lets lemon-pinched grapefruit bittering, pineapple-candied orange tartness, tannic white grape esters, mild guava sway and timid tangerine tang (plus a hint of pine and pinch of herbs) carry thru to its lightly creamed oats base.

BENEDIKTINER WEISSBIER

October 8, 2025Beers A-ZBENEDIKTINER, hefeweizenjf1155@verizon.net

Not as good as Germany’s premier Paulaner and Franziskaner hefes, lacking convincing banana-clove thrust. Sputtering banana bubblegum sugaring and gingery nutmeg-cardamom spicing (and herbal residue) lost amongst mildly creamed vanilla froth, leaving feeble raw-honeyed lemony orange musk. But its eggy sourdough breading retains proper hefeweizen luster.

ECHIGO WEIZEN

October 8, 2025Beers A-ZECHIGO, JAPAN, kristalweizenjf1155@verizon.net

Fizzy lemon-soured herbal frontage outdoes stylish banana-clove sweetness atop white wheat base to ‘crisp, dry finish’ of filtered German-styled Japanese krystalweiss.
