Zesty pink grapefruit frontage picks up lemon-peeled orange, tangerine, apricot, pineapple and melon tang as raw-wooded pining saturates dry rye-breaded backend. Grassy Nelson Sauvin hops add slight white grape snip as sugary crystal malting begins to ascend over citric stead. A simple, yet effective, toned-down IPA perfect as crossover fodder for lighter thirsts.

FLYING DOG GREEN TEA IMPERIAL STOUT
Persuasive full-bodied limited edition (winter ’13) herbal stout layers smoky dark-roasted chocolate malts above dry-spiced green tea notions. In the midst, ashen hop-charred bittering contrasts maple-sugared pine sapping. Musty black grape, blackberry, black cherry and fig nuances drift below.

HARDYWOOD CHOCOLATE HEAT (DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MILK STOUT)
“Luscious yet piquant,” correctly states the label for this well-rounded dark ale. Ample dark chocolate bittering and light cacao nibs powdering contrast creamy brown chocolate sweetness above reserved hop-charred chile habanero peppering. Musky bourbon, burgundy and Muscat wining seep into the backdrop alongside tertiary red cherry and anise snips, sidewinding its massive mocha-milked conviction.

RATTLE N HUM
KANE EMPOWER IMPERIAL I.P.A.
Piercing piney citric brightness awakens prominent fusel alcohol burn of dry medium-full body. Heady wood-grained Simcoe-Amarillo hop bite reinforces juniper-licked orange and grapefruit peel bittering above slight metallic twinge. Juicy nectar, peach, melon and orange fruiting sweetens the load. Generous hop-head delight!

SINGLECUT BILLY FULL STACK IMPERIAL I.P.A.
On tap at Rattle N Hum, brash hop-forward update of Singlecut Billy Half-Stack loads lemon-seeded orange peel bittering atop mild pine-spruced lacquer and brusque acetone solvency. Floral peach-tangerine tang brightens the corners and sugary crystal-caramel malts sweeten the backend. Another briskly sharp hop-head fave.
BRONX BLACK PALE ALE
On tap at Rattle N Hum, intense tan-headed mahogany-bodied hybrid relies much more heavily on rich coffee-beaned dark chocolate roast than contrasting pale ale fruiting. Creamy cocoa-dried chocolate and vanilla malting finally allows serene orange-grapefruit bittering and modest guava-mango combo to flourish towards the nutty mocha finish. Not far removed from an Imperial Stout.
