On tap at Beef Trust, easygoing yellow-marbled moderation leads with its pine-combed yellow grapefruit tang and tart lemon spritz. Limey gooseberry-passionfruit-guava-dried Nelson Sauvin hops, sour green grape tannins and vodka-tinged juniper nip coddle lactic milk-sugared pale malts.
On tap at Ambulance, triply dry-hopped NEIPA contrasts lemon-soured white grape tannins with floral-bound pineapple, cantaloupe, peach and melon fruiting above mild oats-flaked barley flour. Herbaceously grassy pine resin secures sweet ‘n sour tropical fruiting.
On tap at Poor Henry’s, Imperial double dry-hopped version of ’68 RYOT stays softly creamed as subtle lemony grapefruit tartness and mild herbal pining soak into oats-dried rye malting. Mildly pungent citrus-bound Galaxy hop sedation and light bready pilsner base combine for easygoing fare.
On tap at Ambulance, wonderful flagship brew seizes upon all things good in a sunshiny medium-bodied IPA. Zesty grapefruit-peeled pineapple, orange and mango tropicalia fueled by resinous earthen pining as well as dank cannabis above mild flaked oats-wheat spine. Tertiary floral-daubed peach, passionfruit and papaya illusions push up against lightly lingered finishing astringency. Recommended.
On tap at Seven Lakes Station, District 96 Photo Op’s ‘little sister’ stays milder as spritzy lemon zest coddles subtle yellow grapefruit-seeded bittering, candied pineapple tartness and navel orange tang while sedate pine resin picks up dainty floral-daubed herbal nip.
On tap at Ambulance, interestingly abstruse double dry-hopped cocktail collaboration (with Copenhagen’s Dry & Bitter) connects rummy coconut-milked pineapple juicing of a pina colada with orange-juiced champagne fizz of a mimosa. Brisk lemony grapefruit zest secures IPA-styled midst. Light pilsner malting softens ester-fruited English ale yeast setting.
Stiff vodka kick rampages alongside candy-glazed tropical fruiting and understated clay-hopped pine needling. Advertised wet-wooded hop ‘dankness’ is nearly a misnomer. Instead, sugar-coated grapefruit, orange, tangerine, pineapple and mango tanginess battles back rubbing alcohol burn (13% ABV). Musky fennel, rosemary (?), hibiscus and ethyl undertones go awry.
Remarkably refreshing straw beige-hazed medium body maintains hearty robustness – especially for a fruity Citra-hopped IPA. Spritzy lemon zest brightens tart grapefruit juicing and mild lime acidity while spicy candy-glazed pineapple, orange, tangerine and peach tanginess adds punch. Tropical fruit blitz overrides mild herbal restraint and barley-floured caramel malting.
On tap at Poor Henry’s, tartly citric double dry-hopped India Pale Ale tosses lime and orange zest at soapy lychee-perfumed melon rind pulping and dank piney hop oiling. Candied citrus tartness sustains above delicate pale malting.
