BRIX CITY / POOR HENRY’S LYCHEE BOOM BOOM WILD ALE
On tap at Poor Henry’s, splendid collaborative effort between Little Ferry brewer and Poor Henry zymurgist, Jesse, is a hazily beige-yellowed brettanomyces-soured wild ale utilizing floral-spiced lychee and vanilla beans to secure its dry-hopped (Citra-Galaxy) base. Alongside mildly acidic lychee adjunct, subtle unripe strawberry, passionfruit and yellow grapefruit illusions pick up herbal fennel, rosemary and thyme seasoning at crisp, clean sour-candied finish.

On tap at Poor Henry’s, vibrant limited edition cuvee blends three vintage ales with wild yeast for tannic wine-soured champagne appeal, lightly vinous white grape tartness and tidy green apple pucker.
SLOOP SANGRIA RED
On tap at Growler & Gill, busy lactobacillus-cultured sour ale brings tart Malbec grape juicing as well as mild blood orange, peach, raspberry and cranberry adjuncts to salty Berliner Weisse base. Sparkling-wined green grape tannins add further vinous sourness to the Sangria finish.

OSKAR BLUES OLD JUICY BASTARD
On tap at Shepherd & Knucklehead, ‘hoppier’ amber-hued Americanized barleywine allows sharp India Pale Ale fruiting to infiltrate barleywine-ish dewy malt sweetness and chewy caramel backbone while minor alcohol bite ascends at the dry-hopped grapefruit-peach-tangerine finish.
OSKAR BLUES THE G’RAUCH IMPERIAL INDIA PALE ALE
On tap at Shepherd & Knucklehead – Haledon, well-done rauchbier/ IPA hybrid (in collaboration with local Colorado brewers, Ska) brings smoky campfire, beechwood and mesquite tones to crisply clean citrus fruiting. Barley-smoked cured meat pleasantry keeps rauchbier likeness lingering longer and stronger than casual orange, grapefruit, peach and apricot illusions.
THREE 3’S WHEATEZE IPA
On tap at Poor Henry’s, pleasant citrus-soured tartness gains earthen peat mossing and resinous pine oiling above dried wheat-oats spine. Astrignent phenols deepen its moderately bitter end.
SLOOP GREEN ISLANDS IPA
On tap at Growler & Gill, easygoing India Pale Ale brings dank oats graining to tropical yellow grapefruit, navel orange and mandarin orange Crystal clean citrus mouthfeel contrasts musky pine hop astringency.

SIERRA NEVADA TROPICAL TORPEDO IPA
Easygoing tropical-fruited version of brewers’ IPA bypasses stylish bold bittering for subtler dry profile. Serene sweet ‘n sour mango, papaya and passionfruit adjuncts gain lemony pineapple, grapefruit and orange spritz over moderately bitter piney hop dankness. Summery island getaway delight.
DEMENTED ORCUS SCOTCH ALE
On tap at Amazing Grapes, rich wee heavy subtly aged in Scotch barrels (10% ABV) blends smoky brown chocolate malting with vanilla-spiced sweetness, subsidiary dried fruiting and dewy cellar-like mustiness.
EMPIRE RYE ALE
On tap at Taphouse 15, dry German rye malting picks up citrus bittering and tempered whiskey daub for astringent ESB-like medium body.
