Resinous pine-lacquered grassy hop astringency contrastingly lingers alongside juicy pineapple, peach, grapefruit, orange, tangerine, mango and clementine tang. Slight alcohol burn exists at zesty citrus-candied finish. On tap at Ambulance, tropical medium body allows zesty juicy fruited nature to spread atop resinous piney hops, malted wheat sweetness and mild floral accents. DESCHUTES JUBEL 2015 – PINOT & OREGON OAK BARREL
Complex pinot noir-influenced winter ale. Creamily caramelized toffee and brown chocolate sugaring receives affable dried fruiting contrasted quickly by sour purple grape tannins. Burgundy-licked raisin, fig and prune tartness sweetens over toasted barley malts, leaving prickly noir traces on the back of the tongue. A tad thin stylistically, yet wholly festive.
MAINE WOODS & WATERS INDIA PALE ALE
Crystalline Maine water provides brisk crisping to fruitful gold-cleared moderate-to-medium body. Vibrant floral-daubed pink grapefruit, mandarin orange, pineapple and mango tanginess gains mild orange-candied lemondrop tartness and spicy respite to contrast resinous piney hop oiling and earthy herb-nipped cannabis dankness. Delicately creamed orange marmalade froth tickles the tongue up-front while its dough-sugared barley-wheat spine pleasantly sweetens the backend. A soft, cushiony splendor.
ANCHOR BLACKBERRY DAZE IPA
“Sublimely intense” moderate-medium body overwhelms advertised blackberry tartness with sharp orange rind, grapefruit and pineapple tang that’s embittered by herbaceous dry-hopped astringency and refreshingly coniferous earthen musk. Sweet peach, mango and tangerine illusions fill out the backdrop nicely.
THE BRUERY OUT OF THE LUNCHBOX ALE

Recalling a PB&J sandwich when the nutty resonance upstages the raspy boysenberry tartness as well as pureed blackberry-cherry subsidiary, this slightly askew eccentricity may intrigue the esoteric lunchtime crowd with its unique blend.
BRAVEN WHITE IPA
Adequate American IPA/ Belgian wit mix nearly lost in nebulous phenolic blur as bubbly lemon-spiced fizziness riddles herbal perfumed floral whim above frail white bread spine. Carbolic citric finish gets a tad soapy, but there’s enough hop resin to reinforce its brisk lemony orange tang.
BLUE POINT MACHO MUCHACHO MEXICAN STYLE LAGER
Crisply dry Vienna-malted Mexican-styled lager brings salted agave-limed adjunct to cologne-perfumed lemon zest and mandarin orange tartness. Ginger-leafed freshness stays below surface.
