On tap at Plank Pizza, sessionably soft-toned hazy golden yellowed IPA retains mild lemon peeled grapefruit, orange and pineapple bittering and delicate piney hop briskness. Zesty Citra-Sultana hop combo brightens fruitiness above lightly sugared pale malting.
Back in the ’90s, this dry piney citrus embittered West Coast-like India Pale Ale would be encouraging streamlined mainstream fodder bettering nearly all the previous stylistic pretenders excepting maybe Ballantine IPA and few others. But in 2022, its lemon-pitted grapefruit pith bittering, mild orange rind dehydration and dry wood tones seem limited compared to expansive milkshake, New England-styled and sour IPA’s. Nice citrus-induced vodka kick, though.
Sunshiny clear-yellowed, cumulous headed double dry-hopped IPA utilizes winning Citra-Mosiac-Amarillo hop combo for crushable easygoing serenity. Lemony orange-peeled grapefruit tanginess settles softly above delicate wheated oat spine. Wispy pineapple, tangerine and peach daubs the delicate light-bodied sedation.
Fancier fruited pale ale is well designed IPA derivation. Juicy grapefruit-peeled orange rind zestfulness embraces salty white wining and floral-spiced pineapple, mandarin and peach illusions plus mild gooseberry-guava snips as piney Amarillo-Centennial hop herbage gains mild cannabis resin to contrast bright Citra-Nelson Sauvin hop tropicalia above honey-malted French breading.
On tap at Plank Pizza, salted lime bittering and lemony green grape spritz cajole tart blackberry adjunct as mild strawberry-raspberry illusions affix vodka-licked citric midst, retaining low acidity.
On tap at Ambulance, vinous lemony blackberry tartness lets oaken white wine esters and straw hay leathering soak up dry hulled spelt graining. Highly acidic sour blackberry continuance will please sour ale lovers but prohibit less profound (or intense) thirsts.
On tap at Ambulance, rustic saison with acrid leathery barnyard musk and spry lemon-rotted green grape champagning picks up dried plantain tartness over light sourdough base.
The first lactose milkshake hefeweizen marketed (?) during 2022, its banana-sweetened Madagascar vanilla bean creaming could be richer and the wheat-honeyed base needs deeper resonance. Unexpected champagne-sparkled white and green grape esters add tart edge to slightly unique variant.
Roasted barley-flaked rye entry tied to muted chestnut-walnut-pecan tandem, mossy brown tea earthiness and coarse phenol hop resins.
Roasted pumpkin truffle starching and mild ginger pungency stay dry trying to outdo sweet pumpkin pie spicing, but cinnamon-sugared nutmeg, clove, allspice and cardamom seasoning may prevail for autumnal gourd moderation.
On tap at Plank Pizza, soft-tongued moderation stays sturdy as sour lemon musk infiltrates grassy meadow and dried maize stead, picking up slight herbage. An above average New Jersey Devils inspired brew.
On tap at Plank Pizza, interestingly integrating sweet chai honey with vanilla, sugary cream ale picks up delicate ginger-cinnamon spicing, cotton-candied silkiness and toasted coconut dusting. A winning combo.
