Milk-sugared coffee sweetness sustains while oaken vanilla center caresses tertiary dried cherry, red plum and glazed fig illusions plus brief cinnamon spicing.

LOUGH GILL IRISH SLOE BARLEYWINE
Botanical sloe gin-fizzed cocktail spirit too low in the mix to perk up stylishly underwhelming barleywine. From the limited edition “Irish Punch Up Series,” caramelized citrus fruiting glides above biscuity cereal grained base, leaving subliminal orange, tangerine, peach and pineapple illusions to undermine any initial juniper berry bittering. Interesting, but inessential.

On tap at Ambulance, dryer-than-sweet medium-full body shows off subtle complexities with fair accuracy. Casual chocolate vanilla-caked sweetness, mild molasses creaming and milk-sugared coffee tones anchored by dark-roast hop char. Desolate fig and raisin illusions enter the silken mix latently.
LOUGH GILL IMPERIAL COCONUT TOASTED PORTER
On tap at Blind Tiger, indeterminate medium-full body lets toasted coconut adjunct get lost amongst murky caramel-burnt chocolate spicing as well as coffee-burnt cola, hazelnut and walnut sequence. Distant red and purple grape esters waver.
LOUGH GILL MAC NUTTY
On tap at Growler & Gill, indefinite medium-bodied brown ale brings modest macadamia nuttiness to dry-spiced chocolate roast and lightly charred hop astringency.
