On tap at Andy’s Corner Bar, fluffily cream-headed moderate-to-medium body delivers citrus-spiced Mosaic-Cascade hop zestiness and mild wood-dried Amarillo-Columbus hop bittering to biscuit wheat-honeyed English pale malting. Witheringly lemon-dropped mandarin orange, tangerine, pineapple and mango tang needs more punch.
SVENDALE RASPBERRY SOUR
On tap at Seven Lakes Station, pinkish amber yeast-cultured sour ale brings tart raspberry-seeded pucker to moderate lemon-limed green grape acidity. At the finish, candied raspberry sourness gains strawberry rhubarb pie illusion above modest dry oaken bittering.

DEVILS BACKBONE PUMPKIN HUNTER
Modest pumpkin roast sweetened slightly by meek cinnamon-nutmeg spicing, brown-sugared acorn squash reminder and teasing yam snip. Desolate earthen bottom underscores relegated pumpkin pie-spiced finish.
ALESMITH EVIL DEAD RED ALE
Devilishly delicious Halloween ’17 treat (with hellish 6.66% ABV) plies cereal-grained cookie dough yeast to fruit-spiced center and mild pine resin. Initial caramel apple sweetness seeps into Bosc pear, peach and cherry illusions as well as tangier floral-bound orange, mango and tangerine tropicalia. Sweet toffee-like malting adds candied coating to terrific medium-bodied red ale.
2ND ACT RIPTIDE FIDDLER RED ALE
On tap at Morris Tap & Grill, well-balanced deep amber medium body brings moderately bitter grapefruit-peeled orange rind spritz to dry herbal-tinged wood tones and biscuity Carafa-malted rye base, picking up barren nuttiness at teasingly tangy tropical finish.
DARK HORSE BELGIAN-STYLE AMBER ALE
On tap at Growler & Gill, updated 2017 version lists ‘Belgian-style’ on amber ale label. Closer to a straight-up Belgian dark ale than its lighter pale style, its beet-sugared prune-raisin, apricot and banana sweetness contrasts lightly vinous red wining, whiskey-daubed medicinal hints and wispy acidic solvency. Dewy peat earthiness provides fertile base.
SIXPOINT KOLD SCHAUER
Easy quenchin’ Kolsch-styled moderation with light lager mouthfeel lets sea-salted lemon rot souring, hay-grassed barnyard astringency and musky hop oiling desiccate sour-candied grapefruit and yellow grape tartness in stylish fashion.
SEA DOG SUNFISH WHEAT ALE
Pleasingly lacquered peach sweetness gains zesty pink and yellow grapefruit tartness over cardboardy sugar-glassed wheat malts. Latent dried apricot and fig tones reinforce peachy entry. An accessible moderation for fruit beer lovers.

FIRESTONE WALKER VELVET MOCHA MERLIN
On tap at Shepherd & Knucklehead – Haledon, velvety coffee-infused oatmeal stout really hits the spot. Marvelous Columbian coffee roast picks up slickly creamed cocoa nibs influence, vanilla bourbon sweetness, dainty chicory snip and toasted marshmallow reminder while a ‘touch of lactose milk sugaring’ dries out at the mocha-rich finish.

KANE CHRISTIAN PATRICK
On tap at Shepherd & Knucklehead – Haledon, smoothly creamed malt-smoked Bakers chocolate tone gains syrupy raw molasses bittering and nutty espresso enticement, inducing mild port, burgundy and bourbon illusions above oats-charred base. Re-tasting at Taphouse 15 revealed tertiary dark cherry, toasted coconut and vanilla bean whims as well.
